Upload requirements on Symbium are set by the jurisdiction's permit tracking system and vary by jurisdiction and document type. The specific requirements for your application are always displayed in your Symbium project. See this article for help locating them.
File size
Most uploads support a maximum file size of 20 MB, however this limit varies by jurisdiction. If your file exceeds the limit shown in your project, reduce the file size using a PDF compression tool before uploading.
File format
Most document uploads require files in PDF format. If your document is saved in another format such as JPG, PNG, or DOCX, convert it to PDF before uploading.
Filename requirements
Some jurisdictions impose restrictions on filenames, including limits on character length and unsupported special characters. These restrictions are set by the jurisdiction's permit tracking system and vary by jurisdiction.
If you receive an upload error related to the filename, review the requirements in the upload tooltip and modify the filename accordingly before uploading again.
If you have reviewed the requirements in your project and are still unable to upload your document, contact support. Include details about the error you are seeing.
