Symbium supports the following types of residential reroofing work.
Tear-off and replace
The existing roofing material is fully removed down to the roof deck, and new roofing material is installed. This is the most comprehensive type of reroofing and is required when the existing material is too damaged or deteriorated for an overlay.
Overlay (re-cover)
New roofing material is installed directly over the existing layer without removing it. This option is available when the existing roofing is in acceptable condition and local code permits an additional layer.
Tile reset
Existing roof tiles are removed, the underlayment is replaced, and the original tiles are reinstalled. This is common when the tiles themselves are in good condition but the underlayment needs replacement.
Properties with existing solar
If your property has an existing rooftop solar installation, there may be additional permit requirements depending on your jurisdiction. See this article for more information.
