When a permit application is submitted through Symbium, a corresponding record is created in the jurisdiction's permit tracking system (e.g., Accela, eTRAKiT, Energov, Clariti). This record is linked to the account of the appropriate contact on your Symbium project, which may be the specified contractor, applicant, or property owner.
Note for property owners on contractor-managed projects. Permit fees are often paid by the contractor or agent managing the permitting process. If you received a Symbium notification but did not submit the project, check with your contractor before attempting to pay for the permit.
How to Pay Your Permit Fees
- Find the correct account. The permit record is linked to the contact who is verified in the jurisdiction's permit tracking system. To confirm which contact is verified, look for a verification notice below the respective contact in your Symbium project. Log into the jurisdiction's portal using that contact's account to access and pay your permit fees.
- Follow Symbium instructions to complete payment. The Next Steps section of your Symbium project contains instructions for completing payment. This information is also available in Symbium's permit creation notification. Both include:
- A link to the jurisdiction's permitting portal.
- Your permit number.
- Instructions for paying your permit fees.
If you have logged into the correct account and still cannot pay your permit fees, contact support with your jurisdiction, permit number, and a description of the issue.
