Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Symbium account. It is optional but recommended. When enabled, you will be asked to enter a code from your authenticator app each time you log in.
Setting up 2FA
To set up 2FA, go to your Account Overview and click Click here to set it up, or navigate to the Security section in your account settings and click Setup next to Two-factor Authentication.
Then follow these steps:
- Scan the QR code displayed on screen using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Duo.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app in the Authentication code field.
- Click Enable 2FA.
Saving your backup codes
After enabling 2FA, Symbium will provide a set of backup codes. Save these backup codes in a secure location.
If you lose access to your authenticator app, you can use a backup code to log in.
